Google is raising the prices of G Suite platforms for the first time in a decade and it’s easy to see why

As many of you have probably already heard, Google is increasing the cost of their G Suite licenses.  By all means it’s not a surprise if you look at everything this platform now offers (see below for a general list).  Basic G Suite will be going from $5/month to $6/month per license, Business G Suite will be going from $10/month to $12/month per license and Enterprise G Suite will continue to be $25/month per license.  These prices will go into effect starting April 2nd, 2019 and will be reflected on April’s invoice. We want to be clear, this is not our firm raising these prices, this is direct from Google.  As noted earlier, after reviewing what G Suite has become over the past 10 years it not a surprise that they’ve raised prices.  G Suite is without a doubt the best platform available for collaboration, security and productivity.  It is now the go to platform for emerging and/or savvy organizations.

Here is a statement direct from Google regarding why they are raising prices:

“We introduced the original version of G Suite, including Gmail and Google Calendar, more than 10 years ago. Since then, we’ve added more than a dozen new G Suite services, including real-time collaboration (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and flexible storage (Drive), powerful video conferencing (Hangouts Meet), secure team messaging (Hangouts Chat) and enterprise-grade search capabilities (Cloud Search). We’ve also infused our products with advanced artificial intelligence to make it easier to respond to emails, gather insights from data and protect against phishing attacks before they happen.”

In addition, Google announced in 2018 they are working towards having 100% of their customers work through partners/resellers like us for their G Suite and Chrome platforms.  As a result of this and the new price increase, we are committing a large portion of our delivery on educating and training our customers on how to use these platforms to their fullest potential.  Reach out to our staff to find out how to take advantage of these trainings.
